Metal mesh façade with company logo: Raiffeisen-Landesbank

Raiffeisenlandesbank Raaba

The building of the Raiffeisen-Landesbank Raaba was given a special metal mesh solar protection façade: the bank's logo was applied to the mesh.

The highlight of this building is the inclined front side that is encased by a façade cladding made of metal fabric. For this, the Strohecker architectural firm relied on the Tigris stainless steel mesh from GKD – part of it custom-manufactured.

A total of nine mesh panels protect the building from direct sunlight and give the structure its individual character. The panels were mounted by means of the Fusiomesh technique developed by GKD. At the sides, the edges of the metal membrane cladding are marked by two inclined elements made of a customized version of the Tigris 2100 mesh with a round bar integrated into the mesh as an intermediate fixing element.

Thanks to its transparency, the metal mesh allows sufficient daylight to enter the building interior while at the same time granting unhindered views of the outside surroundings. The bank's logo is superimposed on the fabric of the solar protection façade and is visible even at great distances.
