Building of the Year Award

The Building of the Year Award is awarded annually by the renowned US architecture platform ArchDaily. In the Best Applied Product category, the Award this year goes to French architect Dominique Perrault for the refurbishment of the Pavilion Dufour at the Palace of Versailles, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage since 1980. On the first floor, he used a sculptural ceiling design made of golden metal mesh Escale from GKD, color-coordinated woven wall elements and golden pendant light fittings to blend in harmoniously with the opulence of the historic building.
